This conference is especially designed for area, district and council membership committees, commissioners, unit leaders, and those responsible for serving an increasing number youth in Scouting programs. Presentations and discussions cover new unit organization, year-round youth recruitment, transition ideas from and into each program, reducing dropped units, and increasing tenure/retention. Special emphasis will be placed on school access and innovative ideas to recruit more youth.
Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America's premier High Adventure™ base, challenges Scouts and Venturers with more than 214 square miles of rugged northern New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country.
