Project COPE and Climbing Manager

Developed for currently trained Project COPE Directors and Climbing Directors who serve as Council COPE/Climbing Committee Chairman, manage and oversee year round council programs. Participants will explore complex topics including: creating positive learning environments; sequencing group activities to match the group’s goals; creating “ownership” and facilitation involvement to give learners control and responsibility for learning; marketing strategies; facilitator training; program management; emergency action planning; effective maintenance and including participants with disabilities. This course qualifies for Project COPE Director’s and/or Climbing Director’s retraining. This conference involves participation in high and low COPE and one half day of participation at the Rock Climbing instructional site and requires that each participant be in excellent physical condition. Participants will not have an opportunity to be with their family during the week. Requirements: Current COPE and/or Climbing Director Certification; and BSA Annual Health and Medical Record – Parts A, B, C and D required.
