What is Hut-2-Hut
Philmont’s Hut to Hut program is a luxury trek with a five-night stay in the backcountry and base camp locations. While you daypack between locations, our staff will move your belongings to the next location and set up your accommodations. Guests will enjoy upscale meals and opportunities to socialize, relax, and explore Philmont’s natural beauty.
Accomodations
During the trail experience, guests will stay in a variety of cabins and canvas tents, each equipped with a bed. Bedding and linens are provided at every destination, so there’s no need to pack your own. Showers are available at select locations for guest use. Each stop on your Hut-2-Hut adventure offers a rich history to explore. You will be sleeping, eating, and spending time in areas that have been enjoyed by many others throughout history.
Dining
Experience fine local cuisine in remote backcountry locations with scenic views. Morning Breakfasts include hot meals and lighter continental options for longer hiking days. Picnic lunches are provided on the trail. Lunches include charcuterie boards and upscale sandwiches. Dinner is a large hot meal with an appetizer and a decadent dessert. Have any specific dietary needs? No problem! Philmont can accommodate most dietary needs. You will not be hungry when participating in our Hut-2-Hut program!
Hiking
Guests will hike from location to location with a guide and only carry a day pack! Picnic lunches are provided during the day while you are on the trail. Hiking distances vary from 4 to 10 miles a day. Guides are well-trained to assess the group’s needs and adjust to ensure guests enjoy their experience.
Transportation
- Upon request, Albuquerque and Denver airport shuttles can be arranged for an additional fee.
- Pickup from the Raton Train Station is available at no additional charge.
- Pickup from Raton Airport is also available at no additional charge.
Cost and Fees
- Hut to Hut Registration is $2700 per person
- Albuquerque and Denver Airport Shuttles round trip $300
