Camp Cooking In Action

This enhanced outdoor cooking course focuses on how you can bring cooking skills to your Scouts. Successful camping includes well-balanced and delicious meals. Teaching Scouts to become good cooks will build their confidence, pride and independence. Your week at PTC is a hands-on course covering planning and cooking a variety of meals and cooking methods for camp cooking. Instruction includes presentations covering cooking basics, nutrition, health & safety, menu planning, recipes and demonstrations. Dutch oven cooking will be a primary emphasis plus the use of a variety of camp stoves, foil cooking etc. We will be cooking the majority of our meals.
