Delivering the Outdoor Ethics Program

This conference provides guidance to council volunteers and professionals on implementing the BSA’s Outdoor Ethics program in your Unit, District and Council. It is particularly designed for individuals serving as a council outdoor ethics advocate or interested in serving in that position. We will discuss outdoor ethics programs in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturing; effective coordination with other aspects of district and council operations including camping, conservation, and training; effective implementation of Leave No Trace and Tread Lightly! courses, and much more. Participants will develop an action plan for delivering an outdoor ethics program in your district, council, or area. Representatives from the BSA Outdoor Ethics task force and successful council outdoor ethics advocates will serve as the faculty for this conference.
