Woodcarvers Round Up

Welcome to the 4th installment of the Woodcarvers Round up, first offered in 2016. A big thank you to Chris Gardea for developing this course.
The course objective is to give you the techniques and ideas to share with your scouts or even as a Merit Badge Councilor.
Whether you are new to carving or well seasoned, this course is for everyone. Our faculty have a variety of carving backgrounds with years of experience. Woodcarving Merit bade was the 20th most popular in 2022.
We have 3 expert carver faculty members who will spend a day with each participant working on a special project that they will bring. We will have breakout demonstrations on different subjects, including one that has not been shown before. We will also be visiting the National Scouting Museum for a behind the scenes view of a neckerchief slide collection not on display.
Come enjoy the beauty of Philmont at the Training Center and enjoy all the Scouting fellowship. Bring your family along and they can also enjoy a lot of the other programs that are offered.
