Admission to the National Scouting Museum, Villa Philmonte, and Kit Carson at Rayado is free.
The National Scouting Museum and all other Philmont Museums will be closed in observance of the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day (1/1)
- Labor Day weekend (Saturday – Monday)
- Thanksgiving weekend (Thursday – Sunday)
- Christmas (12/24-12/25)

The National Scouting Museum and Gift Shop are open to the public.

Villa Philmonte
The Villa Philmonte is open to public tours, with a reservation, daily from June 6th – August 14. Call 575-376-1136 to make your reservations. There is also un unguided open house being held at the Villa, Daily 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Guides are placed around the house to answer questions.
