District Operations 2 – ScoutingU

District Operations 2 (DO2) builds off the learning that took place during District Operations Basic to provide Scouting Professionals with the skills and competencies to succeed. The intent of DO2 is to continue their professional development and in-turn learn and apply new competency-based skills. By attending this program, Scouting Professionals will: better engage with their volunteers; improve their prospecting pipeline; better handle the conflicts that arise in their service area; and become a more effective leader. This class gives its participants an opportunity to have needed conversations with a current Scout Executive and the Scouting U faculty about their concerns, opportunities, roadblocks, and successes.

District Operations 2 focuses on four competency areas:

• Managing Work
• Fundraising
• Problem Solving
• Building Strategic Work Relationships

Participants must also register using the PTC Conference link to select housing and pay for family members.
