Step into the heart of Philmont on a two-week journey that combines cheerful service, rugged adventure, and the enduring values of the Order of the Arrow.
This ultimate OA experience begins with a week of meaningful backcountry conservation work led by Philmont’s Conservation Department, where you’ll build trails and develop outdoor skills alongside a crew of dedicated Arrowmen. In week two, you’ll design and hike a custom 7-day trek through Philmont’s iconic wilderness—summiting peaks, exploring historic camps, and reflecting under starry skies. More than a trek, it’s a mission to grow as a leader, live the OA spirit, and leave a lasting legacy.

Sessions are available from early June to early August each year. Reservations are accepted on a first come, first served basis beginning October 1 of the year prior. For instance, 2026 reservations open October 1, 2025.
By registering one year in advance, individuals have the best chance to secure their preferred trek dates and allows ample time for fundraising, physical conditioning, leadership development, and shakedown hikes to ensure you are up for the challenge of the Philmont.
Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of non-refundable deposit of $150 per person and a completed reservation form. The balance of fees are due by May 1.
The Philmont Resource Toolbox has everything you need to get ready for your trek—equipment lists, itineraries, Guidebooks to Adventure, and all required forms. It’s your one-stop hub to help you hit the backcountry trails prepared and confident.
Any new crew reservations for 2026 booked on or after April 17th for arrival dates after July 15th, 2026, will be eligible for 2025 pricing.
