Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Trek

The STEM Trek is a 12-day backcountry program for high-school aged scouts who have a strong interest in Environmental Science. Immerse yourself in the natural world while learning backcountry skills and experiencing classic Philmont program on this exciting trek!

STEM Trek is an introductory level backcountry trek focused on introducing scouts to the natural world and to Philmont. Led by knowledgeable staff, participants will explore modern scientific principles and how they apply to our everyday lives in the Southern Rockies. The overall experience and knowledge gained will give participants a greater appreciation for the world around them and the outdoor skills to explore it.
